French country chic feels like summer

There's just something about floaty white linen, distressed shabby-chic floorboards and a hint of floral that evokes so much summer nostalgia. I recently visited a house that had this mixture of French country style down to a T and despite loving my minimalistic, stainless steel-clad flat, for a long moment I really wished I lived in a house just like that; either somewhere out in the sticks or on a secluded beach with just a dog and maybe a few chickens for company.

One company that embodies this style is Lavender & Sage. Offering a gorgeous selection of homewares and furniture for every room in the house, the company focuses on quality and timeless pieces, rather than cheap and cheerful fashion items.

Whilst not all of the products on the website are to my taste (some are a little too traditional for my liking), there are others that I just can’t get enough of and have been adding to my dream country-cottage wish list.
